First Decent Results!

Hello again,

Below are the first decent results from my chamber on a real mirror.  I proably should have cleaned the shop floor prior to taking these picture, but does anyone clean their shop floors J  As I coat more mirrors, I’ll keep adding images to this page as I go, just to keep a log for myself on my various results.   Next item added will be my set of 8” F/8 Bino Mirrors, which I shall try to coat with the Silicone mirror supports still in place (should be an interesting experiment!)

10” F/5

(this is the mirror that Paul and I had to regrind do to my first coating OOPS!!)

Foucault Image after Coating

(Not sure what that thing at the top is?  Doesn’t move with the mirror, so it must be an imaging artifact..)

I’ll take this mirror to the shop today, give it to the guys building the mount, and add it to our collection of scopes after seeing just what It can do thru the eyepiece!

Take Care,

James
