The Software

Ahh the software J First off I sure hope it works as well for you as it has for me, Our ATM lab, and my Beta testers (bless their harts!)

The only condition I put on this software is if you use it to earn a living, send me a token of your appreciation J Other than that, do with it as you see fit!

I don’t claim this program is perfect (far from it actually) but its getting there. All I know for certain is it hasn’t lead me astray yet! By this I mean, when a mirror looks bad at the eyepiece, it tests badly on RTAFT. When a mirror looks good in the star test, it Tests good in RTAFT. Of course your mileage may vary, but I hope not.

Here’s a list of things I hope to address in future releases:

1. Add the option of using LPT2 to control the motors
2. Create a new section for performing the WIRE test
3. Add Code to check three diameters of the mirror (perpendicular to knife edge and +/- 45 degrees to knife edge.
4. Clean up the Mirror Database management screen (it could use a little work!)
